MY GOAL WITH ELEVATE VOLLEYBALL IS TO CREATE SOMETHING DIFFERENT—A PROGRAM BUILT ON OLD-SCHOOL HABITS, STRONG FOUNDATIONS, AND THE BELIEF THAT EVERY ATHLETE DESERVES THE CHANCE TO THRIVE.

Volleyball has been a constant in my life for over 20 years. I grew up and graduated right here in Cold Lake, where I fell in love with the sport that would shape who I am today. In my senior year, I helped Cold Lake High School bring home a 3A Provincial Championship banner—an early milestone that sparked a passion for competition, leadership, and growth. From high school and club to earning a scholarship and competing in the U.S., I’ve experienced volleyball at nearly every level.

Playing in the U.S. exposed me to high-level competition and incredible coaching. I was fortunate to be named an All-Conference athlete and earn Dean’s List honors, but what made the biggest impact was the exposure I had to a wide range of coaching styles and systems—including experience from NCAA Division I coaches. I’ve been coached by leaders across all levels, from university programs to grassroots high school teams. That variety shaped the way I train athletes today: with intention, structure, and a deep respect for the fundamentals.

That’s the kind of energy I bring to Elevate. This program was built to be different. It’s for athletes of all backgrounds and skill levels who are ready to work hard, grow in confidence, and develop strong, lasting foundations. We focus on the basics, teach players to truly understand the game, and create an environment where athletes feel supported and challenged every step of the way.

While my strength is working with middles and powers, I’ve developed a real knack for working with setters and liberos, too. Over the years, I’ve made it a priority to learn every position on the court so I can coach from all angles and truly connect with each athlete. My goal is to help players not just perform their role—but own it. I want them to build confidence, understand the game on a deeper level, and grow into athletes who lead with purpose and play with intention.

I’m still competing in high-level leagues and tournaments today because I believe great coaches stay connected to the game. Volleyball has taken me across Canada, the U.S., and even Mexico—it’s brought lifelong friendships, lessons, and opportunities, including meeting my partner through co-ed volleyball.

While Elevate is a for-profit program, our mission goes far beyond business. We’re committed to growing the sport in our community and making high-level coaching and meaningful opportunities more accessible to local athletes. I also volunteer my time to support youth programs and help fund local tournaments because I believe in giving back to the game that’s given me so much.

At the end of the day, Elevate Volleyball isn’t just about reps and drills—it’s about building people. I want every athlete who walks through our doors to leave with more confidence, a deeper understanding of the game, and a love for volleyball that stays with them long after the season ends.
