Alley Theroux
FOUNDER
Former university captain and all conference athlete with over 20 years in the game. I started Elevate to bring structure, purpose, and high level coaching to athletes who want to lead and compete. My coaching is direct, consistent, and built on connection. I care about the athlete and the person. That means holding a high standard while making sure every athlete feels seen, prepared, and pushed to grow.

Adam Mischuk
CO-FOUNDER
Adam is the backbone of Elevate. A former NAIT middle and current competitive player, he brings strength, patience, and presence. He keeps things running behind the scenes — from court maintenance to late night planning talks, from hauling gear to hanging with our daughter. When he coaches, he brings a steady calm and a deep love for the game. When he is not coaching, he is the reason everything still works.

Halle Blocha
HEAD COACH
University athlete. Provincial champion. Steady leader. Halle brings calm focus, sharp technical skill, and a gift for connecting with athletes. She coaches at Elevate through the summer and brings the same level of care, preparation, and consistency to every session. Halle shows up ready to teach, ready to lead, and ready to raise the standard.
From Player to Coach
Elevate Volleyball was not built overnight. It was built on the court, in small town gyms, and through years of showing up when no one was watching. Founded by former college athlete and experienced coach Alley Theroux, Elevate was created for athletes who want more even when the path is not clear.
Alley grew up in the Lakeland. She went to Ardmore School from kindergarten to grade nine, then graduated from Cold Lake High. In grade twelve, she played middle and helped lead her team to a 3A provincial title, one of her proudest moments. She had coaches who pushed and believed in her, but she did not have high level training, consistent reps, or access to the same systems as athletes in bigger cities. She had to figure it out, and she did.
After high school, Alley earned a scholarship to play college volleyball in the United States. She committed to Valley City State University and played four years of varsity volleyball in the NAIA. Her senior year defined the standard she now brings to every Elevate session. She was named team captain, earned First Team All Conference, and led her team through a competitive season. She finished with 788 career kills, was named Player of the Week twice, and was recognized as the most decorated athlete in the program that year. She also made the Dean’s List and balanced school, training, and leadership without excuses.
After graduating, Alley brought that same level of commitment into her career. As the manager of the Cold Lake Starbucks, she helped lead her store to a top three national ranking in operations, earned nominations for Manager of the Quarter, and became known for building strong consistent teams. She was named Student of the Year in Marketing, completed her business degree, and has launched and grown two small businesses since 2020, each rooted in structure, accountability, and purpose.
Elevate is all of it. It comes from the little girl in the Ardmore gym. From the captain grinding through NAIA road trips. From the founder who knows how to coach people, not just players. Every training session is intentional. Every group stays small to ensure real feedback and real results. Athletes learn how to move, how to think, and how to compete with confidence.
Elevate is not about where you are from. It is about where you are willing to go. And if you are ready to work, Coach Alley and the Elevate team are ready to coach.
